Grants for Community Organizations
The Islamic Society of Northern Wisconsin - Mahmoud Taman Trust (ISNW-MTT) announces grants for community organizations.
The Mahmoud Taman Trust (ISNW-MTT) is a not-for profit fund operated by the Committee on Charitable Giving of the Islamic Society of Northern Wisconsin. It has several goals for charitable giving including ISNW- MTT reviews proposals from individuals or organizations depending on the area of charitable giving.
Those interested in applying for a grant may submit an application in the timeframe required for each type of charitable giving area. After careful review, organizations that align closely with ISNW- MTT's mission and meet the evaluation criteria will be contacted requesting more information if needed or the award will given.
ISNW grants generally range from $300 to $500. However, the Trust will consider larger grants depending on the strength of the proposal, its relevance to our mission.
We are particularly interested in projects that have the potential to influence wider circles whether locally, nationally or globally. We are also interested in projects regarding Islamic education and interfaith dialogue.
A Few Words about Our Proposal Review Process
The Committee on Charitable Giving reviews proposals regularly. In reading a proposal, we consider the degree to which the project aligns with our mission, along with the potential the organization has to help address a compelling need in a community or wider culture or the need of the individual. Proposals that reflect the following characteristics, in addition to a strong resonance with our mission:
- Strength and clarity of intention.
- Organizational commitment.
- Honest and straightforward communication.
- Provision of comprehensive information.
